We must defeat Proposition 33 this November! If this ballot initiative is approved by voters, local jurisdictions will have free rein to impose and expand rent control. It will also prohibit rent increases upon vacancy - known as "vacancy decontrol" - by eliminating your ability to reset rents to current market rates when you have a vacancy. The initiative would also allow rent control to be imposed on all residential rental properties including single-family homes, condominiums, town homes, and accessory dwelling units by eliminating AB 1482 protections.
