The CAPS designation is a nationally recognized credential provided by the National Apartment Association and is designed for experienced multifamily housing professionals looking to strengthen their leadership, operational, and portfolio management skills.

WHAT IS CAPS?
The Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS) designation is an advanced credential created for experienced property management professionals overseeing multiple apartment communities, large assets, or regional operations.

This course focuses on leadership, financial analysis, portfolio performance, operational strategy, and asset management, all while strengthening the professionalism and decision-making skills needed to successfully supervise multifamily portfolios.

Earn your CAPS designation and strengthen your portfolio management and leadership expertise. The National Apartment Association developed the CAPS (Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor) program to help multifamily housing professionals advance their careers in portfolio and asset management. • Ratio Utility Billing Systems (RUBS)

REQUIREMENTS

To obtain the CAPS credential, candidates must complete the following:

  • Minimum of 24 months of employment as a multi-site supervisor or be either a CAM, ARM, or RAM credential holder in good standing.
  • Successful completion of all CAPS coursework (totaling 40 hours)
  • Meet all examination standards within six (6) months of declaring candidacy
