| Workplace Harassment |
Periodic harassment training for managers has always been a good idea; now it is required by law. AB 1825 requires that all California employers with 50 or more employees provide at least two hours of harassment avoidance training to all managers once every two years. This training is mandatory for any manager who hires, fires, disciplines, and/or directs the work of one or more other employees (which may include some contractors and vendors). Although the training is not mandatory for employers having fewer than 50 employees, it should nonetheless be considered by every apartment owner or Management Company as an essential part of its approach to preventing harassment claims and lawsuits. |
